A little about Super Jet Brunette

Who Am I ?

I am just an ordinary girl living in an aerospace world!

My passion for aerospace has taken me all over the world in search of that bone rattling feeling when a jet engine comes ROOARRING and PURRRRRRRRS past!

Learn more about Me Professionally

Why did i start Super Jet Brunette?

Words cannot express the inner joy and excitement I feel every time I hear, see, or feel a jet engine running! It is truly EXHILARATING!!

I want to share the Aerospace and Manufacturing industry with others and inspire them to consider a career in this gratifying profession. My love for aerospace pales in comparison for the joy i feel when i am able to #coach , #mentor , and help #develop the next generation into the right path for them. Many who are directed towards me are those who are intrigued by the #STEM related fields.

Pratt and Whitney Blackbird Engines

Learn about the Pratt and Whitney J58 Ram Jet Engine which powers the SR71 Blackbird. This video is presented by the Air Zoo Smithsonian, aerospace and science museum, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, with over 100 air and space artifacts, inspiring interactive exhibits, full-motion flight simulators, indoor amusement park rides, a theater and over 100 education programs!

Pratt and WHitney F-22 Raptor Engines

Two Pratt & Whitney F119 engines power the U.S Air Force’s F-22  Raptor. Supercruise, the ability to operate supersonically without  afterburning, gives the F-22 exceptional combat performance without  compromising mission range.

The F119 engine delivers unparalleled aircraft maneuverability with its  unique two-dimensional pitch vectoring exhaust nozzle. This  convergent/divergent nozzle vectors thrust as much as 20 degrees up or  down. Nozzle position management is integrated with the F-22 flight  control system and is automatically regulated by the Full-Authority  Digital Electronic Control (FADEC), as are hundreds of other engine and  aircraft operating parameters. The FADEC also features advanced  diagnostics and on-condition management capability for maintenance  awareness, autonomic logistics support and automatic field and test data  processing.

The F119 is equipped with a number of advanced technologies for  unmatched operational performance and reliability. Its three-stage  integrally bladed fan is powered by a single-stage low-pressure turbine.  The engine’s counterrotating core has an aerodynamically efficient  six-stage compressor driven by a single-stage high-pressure turbine  featuring the latest single-crystal superalloy blades and advanced  cooling technologies. The robust, yet compact, high-pressure compressor  features the most advanced airfoil aerodynamics and integrally bladed  rotor disks for ensured durability.

On December 15, 2005, the U.S. Air Force declared the F-22 Raptor  combat-ready, having achieved Initial Operational Capability (IOC)  status. This milestone signified the F119-powered F-22 completed its  development testing and was prepared to fly and fight in defense of the  United States of America and its global interests. Just two years later,  on December 12, 2007, the U.S Air Force declared Full Operational  Capability (FOC) for the F-22.

The proven F119 is the forefather of the advanced F135 propulsion  system, which currently powers the fifth-generation F-35 Lightning II.  To learn more about the F135 engine, click here.

Super Jet Brunette A.k.a Mickey

Who is Super Jet Brunette?

Hi! My name is Mickey and I am an #Aerogeek! My passion for aerospace has taken me all over the world in search of that bone rattling feeling when a jet engine SCREECHES and PURRRRRRRRS past!

I have had the pleasure of working with jet engines over the past few years and it has been a dream come true. My career with #RTX Raytheon Technologies Corporation, formerly known as #UTC United Technologies, has allowed me to work in several different business units under the corporate umbrella. The various roles have taken me to many different #aerospacemanufacturing facilities and air force bases around the globe. In addition to learning about the infinite manufacturing processes, I have learned so much about the inner workings and assembly of Jet Engines, Nitrogen Generation Systems & Cabin Air Conditioning Systems.

I have worked on both #militaryaircraft and #commercialaircraft components and jet engines. The most gratifying work I have done on jet engines was with our #F135 (Lockheed Martin #F35 Lightning II aircraft) and PW1100G-JM (#Airbus #A320 #Neo aircraft). Over the years these 2 engines have not only kept me EXTREMLY busy but they have also fueled my passion for aviation. There is something magical about seeing thousands of parts on kits transform into a majestic machine! Once complete the real fun begins as we test them and watch that fuel BURN!! As we say at #PrattandWhitney " We love the smell of JET FUEL in the morning!"

Words cannot express the inner joy and excitement I feel every time I hear, see, or feel a jet engine running! It is truly EXHILARATING!!

One mottoI take very seriously is #yolo so get our there and #liveyourbestlife !
